Instructor, Leanna Capone teaches Hip Hop at the studio. Dance has been my passion since as long as I can remember. I began dancing at 4 years old in a studio called Heavenly Bodies located in ozone park and haven’t stopped since. At age 16 I took a particular interePreview Changesst in hip hop, which at the time was the only genre of dance I haven’t trained in because the dance school I attended didn’t offer it. Watching YouTube videos to teach myself became a regular for me once I realized my love for this style. When I got comfortable and confident, I decided to audition for a hip hop league which goes by the name of Urban Dance league. After being called back from founder of the league, Antboogie, informing me that I made the league, my love for hip hop only grew. Since then I’ve trained with choreographers such as Luam and Matt Steffanina and continued my training at Broadway Dance Center weekly. I also began teaching hip hop at Heavenly Bodies until it closed down. I am now currently entering my second year teaching at Spotlight Dance Factory. Being able to pass my passion onto others by teaching dance has truly enriched my life.
